Horse is an important and valuable member of the mammalia. Among the earliest evidence of the importance of the horse to human culture are the unearthed wall paintings in the caves of Lascaux, in southern France, dating around 30,000 B.C. The horse first became useful in welfare sometimes before 1500 B.C. when Mesopotamian people began to use horses to pull their chariots. Horse info provides some interesting facts about horses in general. Horses being herd animals are known to follow their herd leader for food and safety. This capability of a horse allows a human rider to act like a herd leader and make the horse learn and follow instructions. For a long period of time, horse racing was thought to be exclusively the sport of the Royal House. Not anymore and not entirely true. Historical records prove that horse racing events were part of the Greek Olympics back in the BC time. The British claim their country is the home of modern horse racing.
